GUT HEALTH MATTERS!
Hippocrates, the father of medicine, once said “All disease begins in the gut.” While all disease doesn’t literally start in the gut, but many research findings confirm that many metabolic, autoimmune, and cognitive diseases do in fact start with gastrointestinal disturbances or imbalances. These findings highlight the fact that we cannot achieve optimal health without a healthy gut.
The gut, otherwise known as the large intestine hosts trillions of bacteria, fungi and other organisms. It also houses 70% of our immune cells, the majority of neurotransmitter production, influences our metabolism, contributes to energy homeostasis, and so much more.
People incorrectly assume that an absence of gastrointestinal symptoms equates to a healthy gut but that is far from true. While digestive symptoms such as bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, etc. are very common, it’s also almost just as common for symptoms to present neurologically.
Gut disturbances often result in symptoms such as brain fog, poor concentration, poor memory, depression and anxiety. This is because the gut and the brain are in constant communication via the gut-brain axis. That means poor gut function can lead to poor brain function. Other areas that are closely affected by the gut include the skin, immune system (and risk of autoimmune disease), blood sugar regulation, detoxification and cell mitochondria metabolism.
MAIN FUNCTIONS OF GUT:

GUT, the main Digestive and Detoxification Organ

GUT, the second “Brain”

GUT, the biggest Immune System

GUT, the largest Microbial Environment in the human body.

A Word from Medical Professional
Class 1 Carcinogen Bacteria – Helicobacter pylori
Helicobacter pylori is classified as class 1 carcinogen by World Health Organization in 1994. There is sufficient evidence in humans for the carcinogenicity of infection with Helicobacter pylori. Tons of people suffer from digestive issues such as bloating, gas, acid reflux, heartburn, and stomach discomfort which is directly link to Helicobacter pylori infections.

Helicobacter pylori is a pathogenic bacterium commonly found in the stomach and digestive tract and it shows very strong tendency to attack the stomach lining. It can also live in our digestive tract for many years and cause stomach ulcers. Chronic infection with Helicobacter pylori causes atrophic and even metaplastic changes in the stomach, and it has been a well-known association with gastritis and peptic ulcer.
Surprisingly, infection with Helicobacter pylori is very common. About 70% of the world’s population has it in their bodies. In general, 80% of patients infected with Helicobacter pylori are asymptomatic, and it can live in the body for years before symptoms start.
Inflammation of, or damage to the stomach lining (Gastritis) by Helicobacter pylori may cause mild or serious reactions to the stomach’s contents, such as stomach ache or abdominal pain, acid reflux, nausea, and vomiting. Patients infected with Helicobacter pylori will experience bad breath and frequent hunger as well.
If untreated for a long time, Helicobacter pylori infections may be related to several serious illnesses: gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer (duodenal or gastric ulcer), and cancers of esophagus and stomach.
Risk of Antibiotic Resistance
In general, Helicobacter pylori infection is treated with "triple therapy" as the first line treatment option, which includes two kinds of antibiotics to 'eradicate' Helicobacter pylori, together with proton pump inhibitor to reduce gastric acid concentration, ulcer irritation and help recovery. However, this option has fallen out of favor because growing resistance to the standard triple therapy has made eradication of Helicobacter pylori a global challenge. Diminishing success of triple therapy is due to growing clarithromycin and metronidazole resistance, which occurs in up to 50% of cases.

Antibiotic resistance is an alarming issue and a global health priority as announced by World Health Organization. In 2016, 700,000 deaths annually worldwide which every 45 seconds a person dies from an antibiotic resistant infection. An estimated of 10 million deaths a year by 2050 was forecasted. To successfully treat these patients, a multifactorial approach must consider antibiotic resistance and optimization of medication regimens that provide ease of adherence.

CLINICAL STUDIES

PYLOPASS® UNIQUENESS
Pylopass® is a culture of Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17648 obtained by inactivated cells technology. Pylopass® was under vigorous research and selected from among 700 wild-type strains of Lactobacillus species for its ability to act as a Helicobacter pylori antagonist.
Pylopass® has a unique mode of action that Lactobacillus reuteri coaggregates specifically with Helicobacter pylori and so reduces its bacterial load in the stomach. It is structure in a way to only “lock” or bind with Helicobacter pylori on the surface, forms coaggregates, and then “flush” or exerts them out of the stomach without disturbing gut microbial balance.
A remarkable uniqueness of Pylopass® that it is obtained by a fermentation process and dryingfrom cells of Lactobacillus reuteri. This is done at low temperature to avoid denaturing the adhesion molecules at the surface of the cells. The fermentation is standardized to coaggregation levels. This means that Pylopass® have been fermented to their peak aggregation abilities.
The Lactobacillus reuteri cells are inactivated during the process that Pylopass® is stable under the gastric conditions. Its mode of action does not actually depend on its survival in the stomach and it doesn’t disturb the gut microbial balance.

FAQs
If you are infected with Helicobacter pylori you might experience digestive related symptoms such as abdominal pain, stomach discomfort, bloating, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, bad breath, acid reflux, and heartburn. Helicobacter pylori are commonly found in the stomach and digestive tract and tend to attack the stomach lining. It is often a major cause of gastritis, ulcers and even stomach cancer. Scientists estimate that 70 percent of the world population may be infected with this pathogen.
It is obtained by inactivated cell technology that you can easily store it at room temperature below 25 degrees centigrade without affecting its efficacy. You do not even need to put it in the refrigerator if you are not living anywhere too topical.
Pylopass® is a very stable ingredient not requiring refrigeration as, unlike general probiotics, the inactivated strains tolerate changes in environmental conditions perfectly.
It is perfectly fine to take GUT+ Probiotic even if you are pregnant, a kid, or an elderly person. However, like with any supplement if you think you have suffered a serious side effect you should stop taking it immediately.
GUT+ Probiotic is designed to retain its beneficial properties without being influenced by the antibiotic treatment. One can easily take GUT+ Probiotic as a first line therapy or as adjuvant therapy along with standard triple therapy.
There is no limit to which you have to use this supplement for maintaining stomach- intestinal health. But at the very least, it should be used for a minimum of 3 months for Helicobacter pylori eradication. As for maintaining gastrointestinal health, a minimum of 6 months are required to get desired effects.
GUT+ Probiotic has a signature ingredient called Pylopass®-Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17648. It has high binding specificity to the Helicobacter pylori. It works by latching onto the bacteria and then flushing it out after inactivation.
